Tides scheduled to play in Cooperstown

The North Shore Baseball League is still planning to play this summer, assuming it’s deemed safe to do so. The NSBL, a competitive men’s summer league, has targeted mid-June as a possible starting date.
The New Hampshire-based Northeast Tides have entered the “Hall of Fame Tournament,” a wooden-bat tournament held at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, N.Y., scheduled to be held July 3-5. The Tides will play three pool-play games, after which teams that advance will be seeded for the playoffs.
In addition to the Tides, the 12-team league inlcludes the Beverly Recs, the Kingston Night Owls, the Manchester Marlins, the Newburyport Nor’Easter, the Marblehead Seasiders, the North Reading A’s, the North Shore Phillies, the North Shore Storm, the Peabody Champions, the Swampscott Sox and the Saugus Wings.
