Tobin sharp in SNHU victory

THE RUNDOWN

Graduate Student Wes Tobin (Portsmouth/Portsmouth Christian Academy) tossed a two-hit shutout (seven innings) and catcher Dakota Mulcay (Goffstown/Cushing Academy) hit a home run as the 20th-ranked Southern New Hampshire baseball team beat Stonehill 8-0 in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday. Tobin allowed two hits, struck out 11 and didn’t walk a batter. His 11 strikeouts were one short of his career high. Mulcay had two hits and three RBIs in the victory. SNHU won Game 2 7-4 to improve its record to 4-0. His home run was the 17th of his career and moved him into a tie for fourth place with Caleb Potter (2017-18) on the program’s all-time home run list.
