High School Rankings

The Top 10 NHIAA baseball teams after Week 3 of the regular season:

1. Pinkerton (6-1)
The Astros ascend to the top spot on the strength of their 5-1 victory over Winacunnet.

2. Winnacunnet (8-1)
After breezing to an 8-0 record and holding their opponents to six runs in those eight games, the Warriors surrendered five runs in a loss to Pinkerton.

3. Londonderry (6-1)
The Lancers went 3-0 during their vacation week with two victories over previously unbeaten Concord and one against Windham.

4. Concord (4-2)
The Crimson Tide reamained in the top five despite two losses to Londonderry last week (5-1 and 5-2).

5. Bedford (5-2)
The Bulldogs have won five in a row since opening the season with back-to-back losses against Concord.

6. Keene (5-1)
Keene suffered its first loss against Bishop Guertin on Friday. We’ll know more about the Blackbirds once they face tougher competition.

7. Hollis-Brookline (4-0)
Hollis/Brookline has not played since last week’s rankings. The Cavaliers have outscored Division II competition 28-6 in their four games.

9. Portsmouth (4-2)
Still waiting for the Clippers to hit their stride, but they’re good enough to beat any team in the state.

10. Exeter (4-3)
The Blue Hawks have some head-scratching losses, but there’s no shortage of talent on their roster.

ON DECK: Alvirne (4-2), Coe-Brown (4-0), Hanover (6-0), Kingswood (4-1), Milford (3-0), Nashua North (3-2) and Souhegan (5-0).
