2020 SUMMER BASEBALL TEAM PREVIEW
Stratham

League/Division: New England Independent Baseball League (NEIBL)/Junior Varsity Division.

Head coach: Wayne Young

Assistant coaches: Connor Singh, Pat Heffernan and Roger Brown.

High schools represented: Exeter, Newmarket, Portsmouth and Winnacunnet.

Home field: Exeter High School (varsity field).

Season opener: June 29 at Weare

Coach’s comment: “Many of the players on our team would have played for the Exeter Post 32 Junior Legion team had there been a legion season this summer. Our roster has primarily players who were freshmen during the 2019-20 school year and haven’t played any high school baseball, but we do have some of the top freshmen from schools on the Seacoast. We will rely heavily on our three older players: Grace, Leedberg and Wiberg. We should have good pitching depth, but it remains to be seen how productive our offense will be against the top pitching in our division. We didn’t secure a home field until recently and have had very few practices, but we think we can be competitive in all our games and are looking forward to a fun season. We’d like to thank Tom Walker and everyone involved with the NEIBL for providing an opportunity for these kids to play baseball this summer.”
