2020 SUMMER BASEBALL TEAM PREVIEW
Portsmouth

League/Division: New England Independent Baseball League (NEIBL)/Varsity Division.

Other teams in league: Merrimack, Keene, St. Thomas, Salem, Hudson, Souhegan, Hollis/Brookline, Upper Valley, Londonderry, Weare, Kennett, Concord, and Oyster River.

Head coach: Jim McKenzie.

Assistant coaches: Dave Lilly and Tim Hopley.

High schools represented: Portsmouth.

Roster: Ethan Avery (C), Andrew Bergeron (3B/P), Justin Blumenthal (3B), Damon Chase (OF/P), Cam Fregeau (3B/P), Mike Hebert (C), Cal Hewett (OF), Brandon Kady (OF), Max Lalime (OF/C), Oscar Lalime (OF/P), Colin Marshall (IF), Matt Minckler (IF/P), Ryan Minckler (OF/P), Myles Sargent (SS), Tristan Winder (2B/P), Silas Witham (2B/P), Zack Yeaton (1B), Carmen Zingariello (2B/P).

Season opener: June 30 vs. Salem.

Coach’s comment: “With two seniors, eight juniors, seven sophomores and a freshman, we’ll have a good mix of young and old – perfect for summer. Not worried at all about results, just thankful and happy that Coach Walker and the NEIBL worked so hard to give us the opportunity to get some innings and play baseball this summer. Looking forward to it.”
