EDISON, N.J. – Quinnipiac graduate student Evan Vulgamore (Bow/Bow HS) was named to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference First Team as a third baseman the MAAC announced Wednesday.
Vulgamore finished the 2021 season with a .276 batting average, his fourth straight season batting over .270, as he started all 28 games this season. He recorded 24 hits in 87 at bats, belting six doubles with two home runs, driving in 20 RBIs and scoring 15 runs. He also had a .365 on-base percentage and .414 slugging percentage.
He ranked second on the team in runs scored, RBIs and doubles, and third in hits. He also tied for third in the MAAC with eight hit by pitches and three sacrifice flies.
Vulgamore is now the program’s Division I record holder for career RBIs with 136 in 180 games played, passing the previous record of 132 held by Vincent Guglietti. Vulgamore also finished career in the top 10 in program history with 25 home runs, 42 doubles and 31 stolen bases. He had 172 hits.
