Doyle transferring to Ole Miss

Derry resident Liam Doyle announced Monday that he will transfer from Coastal Carolina to the University of Mississippi.

Doyle, a left-handed pitcher, had a 3-1 record and a 4.15 ERA in 56.1 innings (23 apperances) during his freshman season at Coastal Carolina. He struck out 69 batters last season, including a career-high nine in six innings during an NCAA tournament game against Rider. Opponents batted .206 against him.
Doyle helped Pinkerton Academy win the NHIAA Division I championship in 2022. He went 7-2 and struck out 125 batters in 61.2 innings that season.
Doyle is pitching for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League this summer.
