Legion: Nashua remains alive

Charlie Hale struck out eight in six-plus inning to help Nashua’s Coffey Post earn a 5-1 win over West Hartford, Conn. on  Thursday in the Northeast Regional tournament at Fitton Field.

Nashua trailed 1-0, but two West Hartford errors in the third inning allowed Coffey Post to take a 3-1 lead.

It was 1-1 when Nashua put runners on first and second base after a pair of one-out singles from Travis LaFontaine and Luke Anderson. Each player scored on an infield error.

Nashua added a run in the fourth inning on a one-out single by Isaiah Headquist and scored in the seventh on a two-out double from Anderson.

The loss eliminated West Hartford.
