
Brendan Parisi tossed a six-inning no-hitter Friday as Shrewsbury, Mass., beat Bedford 13-0 in the American Legion Baseball Northeast Regional at Fitton Field in Worcester, Mass.
Parisi struck out seven and walked two. He threw 74 pitches.

The loss eliminated Bedford from the double-elimination tournament.
Shrewsbury, the tournament’s host team, scored a run in the first inning, two in the second, one in the third and nine in the sixth. Andrew Schmit had a home run, a double and three RBIs to lead the Shrewsbury offense. Schmit was one of six Shrewsbury players who had two hits in the game.
