Monadnock turns to Adams

Tom Cote has guided Monadnock Regional to four of the last five Division III championships, but if the Huskies win another championship this spring they will do so with a new head coach.

Tyler Adams has been hired to replace Cote, who resigned as the school’s baseball coach and athletic director to accept a teaching job in Springfield, Vt.

Adams played on the Monadnock team that won the 2016 championship and has been an assistant coach on Cote’s staff since 2021. Adams is a teacher at Monadnock and also coaches the school’s varsity golf team.

Monadnock returns four all-state players from a team that beat Bishop Brady 2-1 in last year’s Division III title game: infielder Sumner Hill-Goodell (first team), infielder Koby Kidney (second team), pitcher Chris Rouleau (third team) and catcher Xavier Thompson (third team).

Rouleau tossed a complete game against Bishop Brady in the Division III final.
