Wells had been the baseball coach at Marshwood High School in South Berwick, Maine, since 2020. He is also the program director for the New England Mariners, formerly known as the Seacoast Pirates.

“We are very excited that Eric Wells is joining our community,” St. Thomas athletic director Dave Morissette said. “We feel he is a perfect fit to continue the great tradition of our baseball program while developing and disciplining the student-athletes within our mission. I can’t wait to see him get going.”
Wells replaces Carson Cross, who resigned earlier this year to become the head coach at Governor’s Academy.
