Mac Seain named GNAC’s top pitcher

Senior Padraig Mac Seain was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday after he delivered a dominant outing to lead Saint Joseph’s (Maine) to a 6-0 victory over Mount St. Joseph on Friday.

Mac Seain, a Brookline resident who throws left-handed, tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout, struck out 11 batters and walked one walk in seven innings. He limited a Mount St. Joseph to two baserunners through the first five innings and finished with a 0.43 WHIP and a 14.14 strikeouts-per-nine rate in the win, helping the Monks secure the non-conference victory.

Mac Seain was named the 2022 New Hampshire Division II Player of the Year He helped Hollis-Brookline win the 2022 Division II championship, and also spent two seasons with the Nashua Post 3 American Legion Baseball team.
