NHIAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES

DIVISION I

Trinity 11, Londonderry 4

Top-seeded Trinity had the best offense in Division I during the regular season, and that offense showed up for the Division I championship game.

Trinity scored five runs on five hits in the first inning and won its first Division I/Class L championship since 1992.  Chris Centorino collected four hits (three doubles) for the Pioneers, who had the only bye for the Division I tournament and finished the season with a 21-1 record.

Londonderry made it 5-2 with extra-base hits by Jace Ruggiero (double), Brody Labbe (triple) and Sully Daron (double) in the fourth, but the Lancers stranded two runners in the inning.

Londonderry added a run in the fifth to make it 5-3. Caden Jordan doubled and scored on a Ruggiero single.

Neither starting pitcher, Londonderry’s Casey Marsh or Trinity’s Brady Sirois, made it through the fifth inning. Sirois was credited with the win.

RBIs by JJ Grillo-Moore and Mason DeVall extended Trinity’s lead to 7-3 in the fifth, and the Pioneers made extended their lead to 11-3 by scoring three times in the sixth. The key hit was Centorino’s two-run double.

The Lancers scored a run in the seventh before DeVall recorded a strikeout to end the game.

Sixth-seeded Londonderry completed its season with a 17-7 record.

DIVISION II

Kingswood 10, St. Thomas 9

Bryan Purington’s single in the seventh inning scored Brendan MacPhee from third base with the game-winning run.

Second-seeded Kingswood led 8-0 after one inning, but fourth-seeded St. Thomas rallied and had a 9-8 lead after Ryan Gould’s two-run single in the fourth. Kingswood’s Nate Cloos had an RBI single in the fifth to tie the game.

Kingswood’s Kolby Brown threw 120 pitches — the maximum allowed — and gave way to Cloos with two outs in the seventh. The loss ended the Saints’ nine-game winning streak.

DIVISION III

Belmont 10, Derryfield 2

Wyatt Divers tossed a complete game and Belmont took control by scoring seven runs in the third inning.

Fifth-seeded Derryfield scored a run in the top of the first, but third-seeded Belmont pushed three runs across in the bottom half of the inning. The seven-run third handed the Red Raiders a 10-1 lead.

Divers recorded the game’s final out on a strikeout.

DIVISION IV

Newmarket 9, Epping 6

A four-run sixth inning broke a 5-5 tie and helped Newmarket win its fourth championship in the last eight seasons.

Seventh-seeded Epping, last year’s Division IV champion, trailed 5-0, but tied the game by scoring five runs in the fifth. The Mules regained the lead when Jackie Prompradit singled to drive in Matt Napoletano as part of the four-run sixth.

The victory improved Newmarket’s record to 19-0. The Mules completed the 2026 season as the only unbeaten team in the state.
