Coaches comment: Hopkinton makes the move back to Division III after being sent down to Division IV the past two years. The 2017 season saw the Hawks win the Division IV state championship while starting four freshman.  Last year, a few injuries caused the Hawks to exit the playoffs in the quarterfinals. With seven returning starters and a few young guys coming up the Hawks hope to be competitive in Division III.  Our schedule seems to be pretty tough as we play eight or nine of the projected top teams including White Mountains at Cooperstown, N.Y., Gilford, Belmont, Campbell, Conant, Laconia, Brady and Monadnock to name a few.  If we indeed hope to compete we will need to put the ball in play, throw strikes and make the routine plays.  I think I can speak for my players when I say we are excited to be back in Division III and look to prove we belong.
