Coaches comment: MV returns six regulars from last year. Senior four-year starter Matt Ostrowski leads the way for the Pride controlling the outfield and is part of the pitching rotation. Juniors Caleb Heath and Cal Chevarie will set the tone for the Valley offense hitting in the middle of the order. Junior Dillon McCarthy and sophomore Griffin Wheeler will anchor the defense after solid rookie seasons in 2018. The Pride hopes to hit the ground running early in the season. For the past two seasons MV has finished strong in the second half after a slow starts. New Hampshire Division II figures to be very deep and wide open this year. John Stark, Kennett, Bow, Hollis-Brookline and Plymouth are among several teams expected to be in the mix.
