Northeast Tides will enter NSBL
- Updated: November 26, 2019
The Northeast Tides are a first-year entry in the historic North Shore Baseball League (NSBL) that will begin play in the 2020 season.
The Tides will become the 12th team in a league that features well-established clubs within the North Shore and Merrimack Valley regions of Massachusetts like the Swampscott (Mass.) Sox, Peabody (Mass.) Champions and the Kingston (N.H.) Night Owls.
The NSBL is an extremely competitive collegiate/semi-pro level wooden bat league and is a great option for those college players not committing to the NECBL, Futures League or other sanctioned collegiate leagues. The NSBL is also a great option for college players who have since graduated, however maintain a passion for playing competitive baseball.
The Tides and their home field will be based on the New Hampshire Seacoast and the team’s 24-game regular season schedule will begin in late May of 2020 and run through late July. The Tides will play additional exhibition games against the Nashua Silver Knights and Brockton Rox of the Futures League on May 25 and May 26 respectively. The Tides will be attempting to qualify for the NSBL playoffs, which will begin in early August.
The Tides are actively recruiting pitchers and position players. College coaches or interested players can email inquiries to Scott at email@example.com
