Jutras handles Stratham

Jutras overcame an early two-run deficit by scoring seven runs in the third and added seven more in the fifth to earn a 17-4 victory over Stratham on Monday night in an NEIBL junior varsity game at Exeter High School. The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.

Kaleb Leclerc had three hits, scored three runs and also earned the win by pitching four innings of scoreless relief. Leclerc didn’t allow a hit in his four innings on the mound.

Leadoff hitter Felix Soto collected two hits and also scored three times.

Frank Krupp had Stratham’s only hit, a two-run single in the first inning.

Jutras improved its record to 10-1 with the win. Stratham fell to 8-4.

Kanc Crushers 7, Lakes Region 6

Jackson Horne pitched six innings to collect the win as the Kanc Crushers raised their NEIBL junior varsity record to 4-2. Josh Finkle earned the save.

Lakes Region fell to 3-8.
