Exeter Juniors earn seventh win

The Exeter Post 32 Juniors trailed by a run after three innings, but scored four times in the third and added three runs in the fourth en route to a 7-3 victory over Londonderry on Thursday night at Londonderry High School.

The win improved Exeter’s Junior B record to 7-2. Londonderry, which beat Exeter 4-2 earlier in the season, fell to 2-7.

Gavin Duquette and Nolan Ash each had a hit and scored twice for Exeter, which was held to four hits in the win. Will Simpson and Cam Keaveney also had hits for Post 32. Keaveney, Seth Butler and Brady Young scored Exeter’s other runs.

Exeter starting pitcher Cam Piwnicki held Londonderry to three runs on three hits in 3 2/3 innings. He struck out two and walked four. Keaveney allowed a hit and struck out three in 21/3 innings of scorless relief.

The game was called after six innings because of darkness.
