Exeter juniors edge Derry

Matt Forsyth’s two-run, two-out single in the bottom of the fifth inning provided all the scoring as the Exeter Post 32 American Legion junior team beat Derry 2-0 Tuesday night at Phillips Exeter Academy.
Forsyth’s hit dropped into right field and scored Roger Davis and Brady Young.
Cam Keaveney pitched the first four innings for Post 32, which improved its District B record to 10-2. Keaveney allowed one hit and struck out three. Gavin Duquette tossed the final three innings. He surrendered one hit and struck out one.
Keaveney collected two of Exeter’s five hits. Post 32 also received singles from Davis and Derek Leedberg.
The loss dropped Derry’s record to 4-6.
