HENNIKER – The New England College Baseball team revealed its 2021 schedule on Wednesday. The Pilgrims open the season on the road as they take on Anna Maria College on Feb. 26.
2022 Baseball Schedule
The squad returns to a full schedule after competing in 31 games during the spring semester of 2021 and finishing third in the New England Collegiate Conference tournament. Head Coach Terry Doyle looks to get the Pilgrims back to an entire season, which they last had in 2019.
Following their season opener at Anna Maria, the Pilgrims will travel to the New England Baseball Complex to take on Emerson on March 3, before heading to Salve Regina on March 6.
New England College will fly to Myrtle Beach, S.C. to compete in the Ripken Spring Training Experience, where they will play six games in five days. Following their South Carolina trip, the Pilgrims will return home for their home opener against Plymouth State University (March 19). NEC will close out the rest of March on the road with games at Anna Maria (March 20), Eastern Connecticut State (March 24), Mitchell (March 26), Rivier University (March 28), and Keene State (March 29).
The Pilgrims begin April on the road, as they take on WPI on April 1, before hosting Lesley (April 2). The following week, NEC will play seven games on the road, as they travel to Albertus Magnus (April 6), Eastern Nazarene (April 9), Castleton (April 10), and Colby-Sawyer (April 12).
When the Pilgrims return to Henniker, they will embark on an eight-game homestand over eight days. NEC will host Mitchell (April 16), Saint Joseph’s Maine (April 18), Colby-Sawyer (April 19), Eastern Nazarene (April 23), and UMass Dartmouth (April 24).
New England College will wrap up its regular season on the road against Plymouth State (April 28) and Lesley (April 30).
