Coaches comment: We have some major holes to fill. I considered last year’s team a potential Final Four team but, due to the Covid realignment for the state tournament, we played another potential Final Four team right off the bat and lost 2-1 in eight innings. We graduated seven players from last year’s team, including our entire infield, catcher and No. 1 pitcher. I’m excited to see what this group brings. Marcus Korenkiewicz will lead the pitching staff. Mark Labonville, Anthony Boomer and Kyler Bourdeau will also see plenty of time on the mound. We have a big hole to fill at catcher. Junior Duncan Gosselin should get the bulk of the time behind the plate. Expecting a big year at the plate from Korenkiewicz, Boomer, Bourdeau and McKinnon. Division III is always packed with good teams. I expect a good, tough, competitive season. We lost a lot, but we’ll show up … every day.”
