Post 21 loses opener

The Concord Post 21 American Legion Baseball team dropped a 4-0 decision to Greece, N.Y., Wednesday on the opening day of the Northeast Regional.
Trevor Smith, Nater Wachter and Kyle Martin had Concord’s three hits. Martin’s hit was a double.
New York opened the scoring in the third, and added a run in the fifth, one in the sixth and one in the seventh. Concord also committed three errors.
Concord will play an elimination game in the double-elimination tournament Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Post 21 will face the loser of Wednesday’s game between the state champions from Vermont and Massachusetts.
