Coaches comment: “We have seven freshmen and sophomores so we will be young this year. As a team I expect our pitching and defense to keep us in games — our biggest question mark is if we will be able to score enough runs to win them. We graduated 10 seniors last year so there are a lot of new faces in the starting lineup. Only two returning starters (McBride and Sacerdote) will be in the lineup on opening day. We have a very talented group of freshmen and a few upperclassmen who are getting their first shot at consistent playing time.”
