Malgeri remains on power trip

Stratham resident Ben Malgeri homered Saturday night to help the Erie Seawolves defeat the Akron RubberDucks, 6-3. It was Malgeri’s third home run in his last four at-bats, his 10th of the season and his seventh since he was promoted to Double-A from the High-A West Michigan Whitecaps in late April.
Erie is the Detroit Tigers’ affiliate in the Eastern League. Malgeri, an outfielder, homered twice on Friday night.
Detriot selected Malgeri in the 18th round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft. He is an Exeter High School graduate.
