Elias Bourque pitched a complete game to help Nashua Post 3 defeat Concord Post 21 3-0 Wednesday in the final game of the American Legion state tournament.
Bouque limited Concord to two hits, struck out two and didn’t walk a batter. He pitched 13.2 scoreless innings in two tournament games, and was named the tournament MVP.
Nashua scored a run in the first, one in the second and one in the fifth. Travis LaFontaine, Derek Finlay and Jake O’Connor each had a hit and scored a run for Nashua. Ryan Haskett and Dom Monico each had an RBI.
Nate Innerfield and Alex McPherson had Concord’s hits. Post 21 won the 2022 state title.
Bourque also pitched 6.2 scoreless innings to help Nashua defeat Sweeney Post 1-0 in the tournament’s first game. He allowed two hits, struck out nine and didn’t walk a batter in that game.
Nashua will represent New Hampshire in the Northeast Regional, which will be played Aug. 2-6 in Shrewsbury, Mass.
