Coaches comment: “John Stark returns the core of its team including its top three pitchers from 2023. Pitching will definitely be the team’s strength, as Anthony Paolicelli and Chase Philibotte create a strong 1-2 punch on the mound. A good defense led by catcher Aiden Harris, shortstop Hunter Keim and CF Hayden Pond, should keep the runs against low all season. Junior Joey Dykstra makes the transition from OF/catcher to third base and will be one of the Generals top relief pitchers. Stark will need to prove it can lengthen its line-up to score more runs this season, but the off-season commitment and comradery with this group is amazing and second to no one.”
Teams to Beat: Looks like St. Thomas will start the season as the clear favorite, but Souhegan, Hanover, Plymouth and a slew of other teams should do very well this year as well. Division II will be very competitive and could be anyone’s year.
