Coaches comment: “The Wilton-Lyndeborough Co-0p High School varsity baseball team roster looks like a much improved roster since last year’s disappointing 2-14 record would show. All but two of the 12 players suiting up for second year head coach Paul Levesque and assistant coach Adam Levesque’s Warriors have had varsity experience prior to this spring. The newly installed and team embraced program put in place this year by the coaching staff has the makings for a team that could surprise some teams in Division IV this year. We could be the “sleeper pick” to make and go a few rounds in the Division IV playoffs this year. Up and down the roster varsity players are performing as a well-seasoned squad – highlighted by the 1-2 pitching punch of JJ Benson, a sophomore pitcher/1B, and Daxtin Richard, a freshman pitcher/catcher. Add to that some quality starts from juniors pitcher/infield tandem of Colby Collins and Trevor Sullivan, and the outlook for opponents scoring on this group are very bleak. Senior leadership and focus is being provided to the underclassmen by outfielder/pitcher Alex Nelson, pitcher/outfielder Ty Collins, and infielder Jacob Phillips who all bring formidable bats to the lineup. Up and coming young talent in Jason Caragher and Jaryd Clark will provide a solid core for the future of the WLC HS Warriors for coach Levesque and the WLCHS team for years to come.”
