Portsmouth edges Exeter

Jake Carlisle hit a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Portsmouth Post 6 Senior team a 4-3 victory over Exeter’s Post 32 Wednesday night at Leary Field.

Exeter led 1-0 after one innings, but Portsmouth made it a 1-1 contest in the third. Exeter added a run in the fourth and one in the fifith. Gavin Duquette collected two hits for Post 32.

Carlisle and Jackson Larck each had two hits for Portsmouth.

Jason Pinsonnault earned the win for allowing a run on three hits in three innings of relief. He struck out four.
