
Joe Coviello drove in the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning to give the Salem Post 63 Senior American Legion team a 5-4 victory over Rochester Post 7 on Monday in the second game of a doubleheader.
Salem’s Sean Roeger, Aaron Masson, and Cooper Deschene each had two hits in the win. Masson earned the win by tossing three innings of shutout relief.
Colin Bissonnette and Michael Jeffrey each had two hits for Rochester (0-7).
Salem (4-1) won the first game 6-0. Nolan Drew limited Post 7 to three hits in six innings to collect the win. Roeger (three hits), Deschene (two hits), Coviello (two RBIs) and Will Weiss (two hits) led the Post 63 offense.
