Legion Showcase scheduled for July 16

New Hampshire American Legion Player Showcase
The seventh annual New Hampshire American Legion Baseball Player Showcase will be held July 16 at Holman Stadium in Nashua.
Players should arrive at the ballpark at 1 p.m. Warm-ups will end at 1:30 p.m.
A “Pro Style Showcase” will follow with drills that include:
(1.) 60-yard dash.
(2.) Catchers: Pop Times, two receiving catches, two blocks, and two block and throw to a base.
(3.) Infielders: Five ground balls to all infielders at the shortstop position and they throw to first base — two at the infielder, one to the back hand, one to the forehand and one slow-roller.
(4.) First basemen: Throw to third base — three throws.
(5.) Outfielders: Position in right field — three throws to third base, and three throws to home.
(6.) Group hitting: two rounds of five swings.
All throws will be radared, and all catchers’ throws to second base will be timed. A nine-inning game between each district will start 15 minutes after drills are completed.
Invited players will be selected for each team. Players ARE NOT charged for this opportunity. Most players will come from the 2024 high school graduating class, or are non-committed players scheduled to graduate in 2025 and 2026. Only players who plan on attending college and want to pursue playing baseball in college will be invited.
All college coaches are welcome to attend.
