Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.)Tomball (Texas) and Corona (Calif.) swept the top three spots in last year’s national rankings and expect to be contenders again, highlighting our look at the top high school baseball team in every state heading into the 2025 season.
Catholic went 38-2 en route to Louisiana’s Selection Division 1 state Division 1 state championship a year ago and was recognized as national champion by MaxPreps. State POY William Schmidt has graduated but the Bears return three of their top hitters.
Tomball won its first Class 6A state championship in Texas in 2024 and are looking to go back-to-back behind the arms of juniors C.J. Sampson and Karson Reeder.
Likely preseason national No. 1 Corona brings back plenty from its section championship team that went 28-3, including MaxPreps National Junior of the Year Seth Hernandez.
Read on for a look at the top team from your state and others heading into the 2025 season.
