Coach’s comment: “Division 1 looks to be deep and competitive this season.  We are returning a lot of guys with big-game experience. We are also returning our top three arms from last season.  We will rely heavily on our pitching and defense early in the season until we can create our offensive identity.”

Brendan Horne: Horne has been our starting shortstop since he arrived on campus three years ago.  Brendan has taken a leadership role in the program. He has been solid defensively and will be charged with starting our offense this season again.

Leo Boucher: Boucher established last season that he was one of the top two-way players in the state.  He has taken a big leadership role in the program.  He will be sent to the mound once a week and be responsible for playing outfield and providing offense in the middle of our order.

Mike Cioffi: Cioffi was known as one of the top arms in the state last season.  We hope he will pick up where he left off last season on the mound.  Mike will also be tasked with playing the outfield this season.”

Hunter Brasier: Brasier had a breakout sophomore season earning All-State honors. We are expecting Hunter to take an even larger role in the offense this season while playing outfield and starting once a week on the mound.”

Anthony Caruso: Caruso had a huge season for us last year filling the three-hole in the lineup.  We will continue to rely on him offensively. Anthony has committed to playing Division I football at UNH.

Hayden Marshall and newcomer Matt Hanna will be competing for the starting job behind the dish. Both are having a good pre-eason and should be in the field (Hanna IF and Marshall OF) when they are not behind the plate. … Preston Libby broke his collarbone in the Astros’ hockey playoff loss.  We are expecting him back by mid-May for the late-season playoff push. … John Hanlon will be moving to first base this season after being our DH all last season. His leadership in the infield should prove helpful with some youth filling spots at second base and third base.”
