History Lesson: NH Legion baseball

New Hampshire can boast four American Legion Baseball Graduates of the Year—with a bit of an asterisk.

Manchester’s Mike Flanagan (1975) and Chris Carpenter (2007) each earned Graduate of the Year honors, as did Penacook’s Bob Tewksbury in 1995.

The fourth? Carlton Fisk, who was 1975 Graduate of the Year. The asterisk? Fisk played Legion Baseball in both New Hampshire and Vermont.

First state champion: Manchester Post 2.

Baseball Hall of Famers (1*): Carlton Fisk*, Claremont, 2000 (1975 Graduate of the Year).
