GNAC honors Salem’s Roeger

Colby Sawyer junior Sean Roeger was named the Great Northeast Athletic Confrence Player of the Week on Monday.

Roeger, who played at Salem High School, finished the week (six games) with a near .500 batting average with 14 hits in 29 at-bats. Roeger’s best day came in back-to-back games over Western Connecticut and Mt. Aloysius, when he finished 10 for 11 and had five hits in each game. That tied the program record for most hits in a game twice.

Roeger collected his first home run of the season and added seven RBIs and scored nine runs during Colby Sawyer’s 3-3 week.
