Coaches Comment: “Spaulding returns its ace, Hunter Spencer, to anchor a young but promising pitching staff.  The defense should be stronger this year with a full year under their belts.  We’ve been working hard on having an improved offensive approach that should pay dividends.  We are a far more versatile team than we usually are that is set up well to handle the intense short season.  Division 1 is super-competitive as always with a real rock fight on your hands every day.  Expect Exeter, Pinkerton, Trinity, Winnacunnet, and Bedford to be top contenders.  Spaulding opens at Portsmouth on Monday.”
