Westwood, Mass.—Clark University baseball junior, Andrew Thibault (Nashua, N.H.) was named the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Baseball Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The Cougars posted two more wins this week and fell in three game as they move to an even 6-6 on the season.
In five games this week, Thibault collected a total of 12 hits finishing 12-for-21 with a .571 batting average. He knocked four out of the park over the five games and finished with eight RBIs and 10 runs scored. Thibault’s on base percentage was .625 this week and after 21 at bats his slugging percentage sat at 1.238. He is currently tied for fourth in the NEWMAC in batting average at .467 and is tied for first in total homeruns with four.
Thibault is leading Clark offensively this season with 21 total hits including five doubles and four home runs. He has also collected a team-leading nine RBIs.
