MAAC honors Bow’s Vulgamore

EDISON, N.J. – Quinnipiac baseball junior Evan Vulgamore (Bow, N.H.) has been named the MAAC Baseball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Vulgamore is the Bobcats third straight weekly award winner after Andre Marrero (West Springfield, Massachusetts) on March 12 and Chris Enns (Canton, Connecticut) was the Pitcher of the Week on March 5.

Vulgamore’s player of the week honors are his second from the MAAC after he earned the award on April 3, 2018.

This past week, Vulgamore was hot at bat as he had a slash line of .526/.550/.737 in five games over the weekend as he pounded out 10 hits, including four doubles. Vulgamore had multiple hits in four straight games and ended the weekend with a double in four straight games.

Vulgamore led the Bobcats with five runs and four RBIs in addition to his 10 hits on the weekend. He also was a perfect 3 for 3 in stolen bases on the weekend.

On the season, Vulgamore is batting .356 with 21 hits in 59 at bats with nine doubles and two home runs. Vulgamore also has a .409 on base percentage and .610 slugging percentage. He also leads the team with 13 RBIs and 15 runs scored in the Bobcats 15 games.
