Coaches Comments: We have a strong blend of returning players and newer players who seem to have made the “jump” you love to see as a coach. The team also has numerous players who have a strong versatility who will enable us to be competitive this year in numerous aspects of the game. Nick Cote is poised to have a strong offensive year at the plate as well as being in one of the most athletic outfields I have ever coached with Zach Luongo and Evan Cormier. Reece will lead the offense followed closely by Brandon Fish and others. I am excited about Nolan Lincoln leading our pitching staff this year. All in all, we have some players who — if they work — can make some real noise in Division I this year.
I’d say the preseason top teams are the usual suspects: Exeter, Bishop Guertin, Pinkerton, etc. But this year is shaping up to be another year with great parity as well. Goffstown and Portsmouth are very strong teams in their return to Division I. A team that I expect to make some serious strides this year is Winnacunnet.
