MANCHESTER – Thomas Hatch struck out 11 batters in seven innings and Josh Palacios and Riley Adams hit back-to-back homers as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) closed out the home portion of the 2019 schedule with an 8-2 win over the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) on Thursday night at Delta Dental Stadium.

Hatch (W, 2-3) allowed three hits, including a two-run homer by Ben Ruta. He did not walk a batter in his seven innings, and the 11 strikeouts were a season-high for both Hatch and the Fisher Cats.
Corey Copping and Dany Jimenez each added a scoreless frame for New Hampshire out of the bullpen. Jimenez extended his scoreless streak to 13.1 innings with two strikeouts in the ninth.
The Fisher Cats opened a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the first two innings against starter Nick Green (L, 3-4). A passed ball allowed Nash Knight , who had walked, to score in the first. Brock Lundquist singled and scored on Vinny Capra ‘s sacrifice fly in the second.
After Ruta homered to tie the game, the Fisher Cats took the lead back in the third on a Josh Palacios walk, a stolen base, and an RBI double by Chad Spanberger .
The Fisher Cats started a five-run rally with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Capra doubled and Cullen Large singled him home. Knight singled and Palacios hit a three-run homer to right. Adams followed with his 10th blast of the year, a solo shot to left, for an 8-2 lead.
With the home portion of the schedule complete, the Fisher Cats head to Portland to finish the 2019 season. On Friday, the teams play at 7 p.m. LHP Zach Logue (3-6, 4.04) starts for New Hampshire against Portland RHP Denyi Reyes (7-12, 4.24).
