Franklin’s Beaudet earns CAA honor

RICHMOND, Va. – Northeastern’s Teddy Beaudet was named CAA Baseball Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Beaudet earns the distinction for the first time in his career and leads the team with a .423 batting average.

Beaudet, a 5-foot-11 catcher from Franklin, N.H., hit .545 (6-for-11) last weekend and led the Huskies to a 4-0 record at the Snowbird Classic. He tallied two doubles, a home run, scored six runs and drove in four. Beaudet has recorded a base hit in every game that he has gotten an at bat in this season, and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four runs scored in the 17-7 win over Eastern Michigan last Sunday.

Beaudet and the Huskies (7-3) will put their seven-game winning streak on the line against Western Michigan (5-5) on Wednesday at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed on FloBaseball.com and fans can follow live stats at NUHuskies.com.
