Portsmouth edges Londonderry

Cal Hewett had a two-run triple and Ryan Minckler drove him in with an RBI single as Portsmouth scored three turns in the sixth inning to pick up a 4-3 victory over Londonderry on Sunday.
Matt Minckler had two hits for Portsmouth, Ryan Minckler picked up the win on the mound by throwing three innings in relief of Colin Marshall (2 IP, 1 H). Silas Witham earned the save by pitching the final two innings.
NEIBL Varsity Division
Weare 13, Salem 3
Gunner Hagstrom went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and Brett Patnode also homered to help Weare defeat Salem on Sunday.
Weare’s Jeff Wagner struck out eight in four innings of relief to earn the win. Alex Moore went 3-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored, and Cam Bergeron had two doubles and an RBI.
Noah Poulin and Jake Champagne each had a hit and an RBI for Salem.
NEIBL Junior Varsity
Stratham 10/7 Berlin/Gorham 0/11
Nick Brown tossed a complete-game shutout to help the Stratham JVs defeat the Berlin/Gorham 16U All-Stars 10-0 Sunday in the first game of a doubleheader in Stratham.
Brown limited Berlin/Gorham to four hits and didn’t walk a batter. He struck out five and threw 67 pitches. Tim Gori and Damon Grace each scored twice for Stratham, which received three hits from Jake Wiberg.
Roger Davis scored twice for Stratham in Game 2. Grace had two hits in the loss, and Tim Gori, AJ Gori and Brady Young each had a hit and scored a run for Stratham.
St. Thomas #1 12, Weare 2 (6 innings)
JJ Crespo went 3-for-3 with two home runs and five RBIs to highlight St. Thomas’ victory in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday.
Owen Tahnk allowed five hits over six innings to lead St. Thomas to victory. Ryan Morgado and Sebastian Lampert each had two RBIs for St. Thomas.
St. Thomas #1 10, Weare 0 (5 innings)
Danny Cammraota struck out eight and allowed three hits over five innings to lead St. Thomas (6-1).
Matt Minckler and Devon Paquette each had two hits for St. Thomas. Lampert had drove in three runs. Minckler and Ryder Aubin each had two RBIs.
