Redshirt-junior Dakota Mulcay (Goffstown/Cushing Academy) homered twice and drove in five runs Thursday, as the 20th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University baseball team opened its season with two victories over Stonehill College at Lou Gorman Field. The Penmen prevailed 10-2 in Game 1, before edging out the Skyhawks, 3-1, in Game 2.

Mulcay’s home runs were the 15th and 16th of his career, breaking a tie at 14 with Al Molin (1985-88) and Carson Helms (2014-16), and moving him into a four-way tie for fifth place on SNHU’s all-time home run list.
Freshman Trevor Anibal (Bedford/Bedford HS) pitched a scoreless inning in the Game 1 win. He struck out one and walked three.
