
Spaulding High School graduates Shaun Cormier and Garrett Langis were both honored by the New England Collegiate Conference for their performances with the New England College baseball team last week.
Cormier, a senior, was selected as the NECC Pitcher of the Week, and Langis, a freshman, was namd the NECC Rookie of the Week. Both Cormier and Langis are Rochester residents.
Cormier pitched a complete game for the Pilgrims as they beat conference foe Elms, 3-1. Cormier allowed four hits and struck out a career-high 10 batters. He 77 pitches in the win, 61 of which were strikes.
Langis extended his hitting streak to seven games after having multiple hits in three wins last week. Langis hit .545 over the course of the week, with one home run and four RBIs. He also had four stolen bases.
