Team Outlook/Coach’s Comment: “We are looking to rely on Jourdan Stevens and Jacob Morris as our 1-2 pitchers. Both threw a lot of innings in 2019 and are excited about this season. Other pitchers looking to make an impact are lefties Cam Manning and John Perry, and Brady Morris and Charles Loukes will see some time on the mound as well. Dylan Russell and John Perry have been seeing the ball well at the plate so far this spring and look to make an impact as well as Zach Jeness.

“This is a very different year with regards to goals for our team. Of course we want to make it as far as we can in the playoffs. This year is different though, with eight seniors and during a pandemic year, what I want most is for them to truly enjoy the game, the competition, and their teammates. I have the utmost respect for these kids and how well they have handled this year. I want to have us play like every game is our last. Having been able to get on the field so early
this year has been really nice to get the rust off and stretch the arms out. Stevens has had an outstanding pitching career and looks to surpass the 200 strikeout mark this season. He struck out 17 in six innings during Lin-Wood’s first two games, both victories.
