MANCHESTER — The Southern New Hampshire University baseball team has officially released its schedule for the 2022 season. The Penmen open the season with five games in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Feb. 24-27.
The 49-game, regular-season slate features 19 doubleheaders.
The Penmen will open the season Feb. 24 against Felician University at Myrtle Beach, S.C. The teams last meet in Myrtle Beach in Feb., 2020 an 11-2 Penmen win in a shortened season. SNHU will play four more games in South Carolina, and then play on back-to-back weekends in March at Felician in N.J. and Nyack in N.Y. before heading into NE10 play. The first NE10 series is scheduled at Adelphi University on March 19-20. SNHU is slated the kickoff its home slate on March 26 in the first of four series with Stonehill College.
The Penmen completed an abbreviated schedule in 2022 with a 28-9 record under the direction of head coach Scott Loiseau, who starts his 14th season leading SNHU. Expectations are once again high for SNHU baseball as the Penmen were picked first in the NE10 preseason poll, first in the east regional poll and ranked No. 7 in the nation’s preseason poll.
