Coaches comment: Sanborn baseball is looking to build off a year of growth in 2021. After only having two players with varsity experience in 2021, we will lean on our 10 returning players, only two of which are seniors, to lead us in 2022. We will have to replace the big bats of Daven Allard and Nolan Duquette in the middle of our order, and replace Duquette and Ethan Dubois on the mound. We will look for pitchers like Josh Stevens, Peter Dubois and Josh Radjavitch — all players that played a primary relief role last year — to lead us on the mound, along with newcomers Ethan Stanley, Kevin Kolodziej, and Aidan Broyer. Our defense will be our anchor as we anticipate to bring back at least seven starters, with as many as eight depending on the battle at the catcher position.
