Coaches Comment: We’ve been very young for the past couple of years, but hoping that with the added experience from last year we’ll be able to put ourselves in a greater position to compete. Rumor has it that a handful of basketball players will be playing this year, so hopefully that turns out to be true. It’ll do wonders for our program to not only add the extra athletes, but also for our numbers. Hoping that this is the year we can start to sustain a junior varsity program for not only this year, but years to come. It’s extremely difficult to try to compete in Division II/Division III with just one team. I think this team has the makings of having a pretty solid pitching core while also playing pretty solid defense. Our hitting will have to improve greatly from last year. With a little change of approach and doing a better job of putting the ball in play I’m optimistic that improvement from last year will be shown.
“Division III has typically been a very competitive division. We’ve spent the last couple of years playing a majority Division schedule. From years past it seems teams like Hopkinton, White Mountains, Monadnock are always teams that seem to find themselves atop or near the top of the division.”
