Little East honors Trzepacz

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island College freshman first baseman Daniel Trzepacz (Mount Vernon, N.H.) was named the Little East Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. It’s the third time this season that he has received this award.

Trzepacz batted .455 (5-for-11) with seven runs scored, five hits, one double, one homer and five RBIs during a week when the Anchormen went 3-0. He went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, one double, two walks and three RBI in a win over Amherst on April 4. Trzepacz went 3-for-8 with four runs scored, a homer and two RBIs in the doubleheader sweep vs. Castleton State on April 9.

For the season Trzepacz has played in 21 games, starting all of them. Trzepacz is batting .391 (34-for-87) with 33 runs scored, 34 hits, eight doubles, three homers, 23 RBI and three stolen bases.

R.I. College is 14-6-1 overall and 5-1 in the Little East.
