Gavin Gillpatrick limited Concord to two hits, walked one and struck out 10. He also went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. The 10-run mercy rule came into play following Gillpatrick’s two-out, two-run home run to center field in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Middleborough, which handed Concord (1-2) both of its losses in the regional, will play Bangor East (Maine) in the final Thursday at 5 p.m. on ESPN. The winner will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.
Middleborough scored a run in the first, four runs in the second and three in the fourth to build an 8-0 lead.
