Praml earns NE10 award

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Southern New Hampshire University senior Jeffrey Praml (Bridgewater, N.J.) was chosen as the NE10 Pitcher of the Week for the period ending March 19, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Praml allowed three runs – one earned – on seven hits, struck out seven and walking four in a nine-inning appearance in Game 1 Friday, as the Penmen defeated Goldey-Beacom College, 4-3.

Through five starts this season, Praml is 4-1 with a 1.69 ERA. He’s allowed 23 hits over 32.0 innings, struck out 22 and walked 15. Batters are hitting .205 against him. Praml is tied for the league lead in wins, ranks fifth in ERA and seventh in strikeouts.

Praml and the Penmen are back in action Saturday for the first of two doubleheaders against American International College.
